Visiting Lisbon? How to train boxing, Muay Thai or Jiu-Jitsu on a drop-in

Bruno Salgueiro · · 5 min read

You’re in Lisbon for a few days, on holiday or for work, and you don’t want to stop training. We get this question often at Be Water, so I wrote this guide: everything you need to know to train with us for one class or one week, with no membership and no hassle.

Quick answer

  • Where: Be Water Lisboa, Av. do Brasil 7, 1700-062 Lisbon, in Campo Grande
  • One class (drop-in): €15
  • One unlimited week (week pass): €50, 7 days of every modality and open gym
  • Modalities: boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi), functional training (Cross-Training), Stretching (mobility) and open gym
  • Language: classes switch to English whenever there are non-Portuguese speakers in the room
  • How to book: on the pricing page or on WhatsApp at +351 933 869 791

Drop-in or week pass: which one

The maths is simple. If you’ll train once or twice, the €15 drop-in per class is the cheapest option. If you’ll train four times or more in the same week, the €50 week pass pays off: 7 days of unlimited access to every class and the open gym, and you can take more than one class per day.

And if you decide to stay in Lisbon and join, the drop-in fee is credited toward your first monthly membership.

If you’re staying longer, monthly plans start at €64.90 (2x a week), with no commitment. Everything is on the pricing page.

Never trained before?

No problem. Classes welcome beginners and the coaches adapt the session to your level. If you’ve never boxed, our boxing for beginners guide explains what a class looks like. If you live in Lisbon or are thinking of moving here, your first trial class is free: read what your first class at Be Water is like.

Quick questions

Can I train at Be Water without being a member? Yes. The drop-in (€15) and the week pass (€50) exist precisely for visitors who don’t want a monthly membership.

Are classes in English? Classes are taught in Portuguese and switch to English whenever there are non-Portuguese speakers in the class.

Can I do boxing and Jiu-Jitsu in the same week? Yes. The week pass covers every modality and you can take more than one class on the same day.

Do I need to book in advance? Yes, book before you come, on the pricing page or on WhatsApp (+351 933 869 791), so we can hold your spot in class.

Enjoy Lisbon, and train well. See you on the mat.
